Princess Coloring Pages

The most popular doll of all time is of course Barbie. And among her many alter egos there of course is a princess. Therefore, in honor of Barbie’s 50’s birthday I’m happy to present you with princess Barbie coloring pages!

I just love the flower details on the gown. This can be shaded in so many different ways!. Though I think I sea it as black background with golden flowers, to match the hair. Metallic gold crayons would work wonders here. But that’s just me. You may think of gazillion other combinations. Don’t be shy to experiment. These coloring pages are free printables – if you don’t like the results, reprint and do it again!

A princess on the balcony… Is there anything more romantic?

Her royal highness and her cat.

I think that with this crown Barbie looks way more than a princess. She looks like a queen! Just look at the huge diamond at the center!

By the way, I just noticed that on all four pictures there is a rose on her chest. Did you know that the ancient Greeks and Romans identified the rose with the goddess of love? It really suits our princess, don’t you think?

For more coloring pages of Barbie check out the Barbie Coloring Pages site. It has many wonderful pictures to print and color.

I’ve finally gotten around to posting this new collection of princess coloring pages.

The first up is a princess bride. Or so I presume judging by the veil and the flowers.

By the way, just cause this girl is a bride doesn’t mean the dress has to be all white. If we presume that this princess is from the medieval ages or thereabouts, then white really wasn’t the color of choice for the wedding gowns. Thus any combination of funky crayons will do just fine here.

Now these next three princesses have a definite artistic flare to them.

This princess is an aspiring dancer:

You can almost feel her float gracefully in the air.

And this princess is an accomplished artist:

I pressume she is drawing her humble abode…

While this coloring page features a princess playing guitar.

In fact, this is my favorite picture of the set. I can almost hear her romantic ballad.

PS: On a different note, check out the new The Princess and the Frog Coloring Pages. Looks very promising.

While in the last post it was all about breaking the rules, the princess coloring pages here follow the cannon to the letter. Frills, gowns, hair and crowns. (Whoa… I’m a poet…)

So here is a princess with a really wild skirt and over-throw. She also has the full set of jewelry (bracelets, necklace and earrings), and high-fashion hair décor.

This coloring page features a princess, a crown, a castle and even a romantic moonlight…

This princess is dancing. Very cool ballroom windows in the back. Enough to bring out the interior decorator in the coloring artist.

    And this:

Well… I thought the classic set needed a bit of a splash! So this is a wild girl also dancing… Ties in well with the previous picture, don’t you think?

    That’s it for now.

    Print and enjoy.

Generally princess coloring pages follow an unspoken cannon: Big hair, tiara, puffy skirts and frills.

And I think those are great. Frills have always been my favorite to draw and color.

But there is no reason to limit the princesses to that cannon. Thinking out of the box can be very useful now and then.

Therefore, here is a set of princesses that don't fit the stereotype, but are still fun.

    Print the pictures and enjoy.
